This course is fundamental science and technology in meteorology.

 

Throughout the course, we learned the followings:

- Interpreting and utilizing weather codes

- Analyzing observational meteorological data

- Drawing basic weather chart

- Understanding, drawing and using thermodynamic diagram (skew T-log p diagram)

- Interpreting auxiliary weather charts

- Principles of weather forecasting

 

We have practical experiences of weather analysis and forecasting through team projects. The lab hours include traditional hand-drawing of weather maps and computer-based map analysis.
